Our very first outlet in 1998 was located at No. 5 Lor Telok, which used to be one of the most nostalgic food & drinks hangout places in Singapore. Fast forward to over 20 years later, our current outlet at Craig Road remains as one of our longest-standing Golden Cafe brand legacy.

Opening of the first Golden cafe outlet at No. 5 Lor Telok (Boat Quay) selling mainly Teochew porridge. Kway chup and duck noodles, before expanding to more Zi Char dishes. Closed after 20 years of operation.
Opening of second Zi Char outlet at 32 Liang Seah Street. Closed after 2 years of operation due to lack of space to cater to the crowd.
Opening of third Zi Char outlet at 146 Market Street. Closed after 3 years of operation when Market Street Carpark was torn down and rebuilt in 2004.
Opening of fourth (current) Zi Char outlet at 5, 6, 7 Craig Road for 18 years and ongoing.
Opening of fifth Zi Char outlet at 318 Jurong East Street 31. Close after 6 years of operations due to lack of manpower.
Opening of sixth Zi Char outlet at 115 Aljunied Ave 2. Closed after 7 years of operations due to the lack of manpower.
Opening of Central Kitchen at Tuas.
